Pedal inserts can be difficult to remove. To simplify this process, the pedal puller can be used.
To remove an insert.
1) Remove the pedal.
2) Slide the pedal puller over the crankarm with the stepped surface facing inward.
3) Install the pedal from the reverse face of the crankarm.
4) Using a hex key, tighten the pedal from the outside face until the insert releases.
