Product Information

The Anemoi Basebar represents over three years of dedicated development, combining aerodynamic performance, extensive compatibility and future-proof adjustability in a single modular platform.

Designed for time trial and triathlon athletes, the Anemoi Basebar moves beyond the limitations of traditional integrated cockpits by offering a solution that can evolve alongside the rider. Its ultra-narrow architecture helps reduce frontal area, while the modular design allows riders to continually refine their setup without replacing the entire front-end.

Available in Standard, Cover Kit and Frame-Specific configurations, the Anemoi Basebar integrates seamlessly with a wide range of modern TT and triathlon frames. Compatible with both the Anemoi Mk2 Extension System and Minimoi Cockpit, it provides a flexible foundation that can adapt as equipment, positions and performance goals change.

The result is a cockpit platform engineered to deliver aerodynamic efficiency, exceptional versatility and long-term adaptability.

Why we created the Anemoi Basebar

The development of aerodynamic cockpits has traditionally focused on extensions, armrests and rider positioning. While these elements undoubtedly have the greatest influence on performance, the basebar remains a significant contributor to total system drag and rider fit.

Having worked with athletes ranging from age-group competitors to WorldTour teams, we found that existing basebar solutions often forced a compromise between aerodynamic performance, adjustability and compatibility. Riders could achieve the position they wanted, or the integration they wanted, but rarely both.

The Anemoi Basebar was created to remove those compromises. Our objective was simple: develop a highly aerodynamic basebar that could be adapted to a wide range of bike frames, while providing the adjustment range required for continual position refinement.

The result is a modular platform that combines aerodynamic efficiency, extensive fit adjustability and seamless integration. Whether paired with the Anemoi Mk2 Extension System or the Minimoi Cockpit, the Anemoi Basebar forms the foundation of a front-end designed to evolve alongside the athlete rather than limit them.

Build Options

For bikes where the Anemoi Basebar can be fitted directly to a 1" (with adapter sleeve) or 1⅛" steerer and the headtube clearance is no greater than 46mm.

This is the simplest installation option and is supplied with two stem covers to suit traditional and dropped headtube frame designs.

Includes a bike-specific cover designed to integrate the Anemoi Basebar seamlessly with selected frame and stem combinations.

The cover bridges the transition between the basebar, stem and frame, creating a clean, factory-style appearance while retaining the standard Anemoi stem.

For frames that require a dedicated mounting solution beyond the Standard and Cover Kit options.

This option includes a bike-specific stem or interface designed specifically for the frame, delivering the highest level of integration and a clean, seamless front-end appearance.

Stem Lengths

The Anemoi Basebar is available with interchangeable Short, Medium and Long stem options. Combined with 25mm of fore-aft adjustment within each stem, riders can refine their reach without replacing the entire cockpit or rerouting cables.

Features

Reduced Frontal Area

The narrow overall width reduces frontal area compared with traditional basebar designs, helping minimise aerodynamic drag and create a cleaner front-end profile.

Extensive Integration Options

Available in Standard, Cover Kit and Frame-Specific configurations to suit a wide range of modern TT and triathlon frames.

Position Freedom

Supports a wide range of stack, reach and hand position configurations, allowing riders to refine their setup as their position evolves.

Adjustable Without Recabling

Stem length and stack height can be adjusted without rerouting cables, making position changes faster and significantly easier.

Improved Aerodynamic Performance

Using the Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub (SSEH) wind tunnel, the Anemoi Basebar was tested against the Dare Basebar, PRO Missile Evo and 3T Aduro. To ensure a fair comparison, all configurations utilised the Anemoi Extension System with the extensions set to 20 degrees. Reach, stack and rider position were kept consistent throughout testing, with an independent test rider supplied by SSEH.

The results are presented in the graphs below, including weighted CdA across a range of wind conditions, CdA from 0–15 degrees of yaw, wattage savings and time saved per kilometre, all calculated at 50km/h.
