WattShop Aero Testing & Performance Modelling (Reservation)
The WattShop service is an all-inclusive package that tests all aspects of your performance, providing you with a multi-variable model to analyse, predict and improve your performance in your chosen event.
Using bespoke in-house developed software, testing system and protocols, your aerodynamics, rolling resistance and power output will be tested. Each session includes your set track time (2 or 3 hours) alongside an hours brief and de-brief.
The hour before your track time commences involves a discussion with your session analyst to discuss your aims, targets and the session structure. This is followed by a power test relevant to your chosen event and multiple rolling resistance tests to analyse your coefficient of rolling resistance. You will then spend 2 or 3 hours on the velodrome performing aerodynamic testing, where we can test equipment, clothing, helmets and position. Depending on the changes you can expect to perform up to 15 test runs over the 2 hours/20-25 test runs over a 3 hour session.
Finally, you will be debriefed and provided with all of your results along with a complete performance profile and model that allows you to change a broad range of variables and analyse their impact on your performance.
Testing is performed at Derby Arena in Derby. Once you have purchased a reservation, you will be contacted to arrange your booking. Once confirmed, you will be sent a questionnaire to complete prior to the test session, along with further information on what you need to bring.
Where booking slots are not currently available reservation bookings will be put on to the waiting list.
